THE RECORD
What assurance asks for, already written
A gate decision is a record, not a status. It carries the class, the project code, the decision, the reason in the sponsor's own words, the author and the date. It exports as it appears, and it is never deleted.

Asked before every procurement conversation
Is this project management software?
It is a comprehensive governance platform, with project management and business elements. It holds the stages, the gates, the deliverables and the decisions. It does not hold the day to day work.
What if we do not have a method?
If you have no formal project management methods, this gives you maximum benefit, and you start on day one with what we built.
Who can use the platform?
Any organization that works on projects: private, public, NGOs, not-for-profit. Consultants and freelancers too: a project can run without a sponsor, and then the project manager approves its gates.
Do we have to change how we work?
You change the words, not the practice. Clone any method, rename its stages, gates and deliverables to your own vocabulary, and your version stays yours. No other project moves.
What if we already have a governance handbook?
Then you already have the hard part. The methods are a starting point you edit, so the handbook stops being a document somebody has to remember and becomes the thing the platform enforces.
Who can approve a gate?
On a project with a sponsor, the sponsor approves every gate. On a project without one, the project manager approves the gates, and an Org Admin approves the activation gate, because that is where the project manager is named. Where there is a sponsor, one person cannot hold both the sponsor and the project manager role, so the separation is enforced rather than asked for.
What happens to the record if we leave?
Every gate decision exports as a record with its reason, its author and its date. Nothing is deleted while you are here, and nothing is withheld when you go.
